Word to the Badd

Okay, I’m going to admit something. Despite having some very below the belt and hurtful lyrics, Jermaine’s Word to the Badd had a sick beat.

Now I’m not trying to defend either side…none of this “Jermaine was totally out of line with this song and MJ was the victim of an attack by flesh and blood” and feel free to RESPECTFULLY disagree with me.

Jermaine’s song doesn’t sound like some cheap gimmick to basically throw a tantrum going “Boo Hoo Hoo! MJ’s getting all the attention! What about me?! Lemme sing this song about what a poopyhead he can be!”

Listening to those lyrics, Jermaine sounds like he was harboring some deeper grudge against MJ and it shows that MJ too had some flaws and issues within the family. The whole family’s dynamic has been on unsteady ground but everybody wants to believe Michael and when Michael’s upset with someone….everybody else is automatically upset with that person without listening to their side. MJ could’ve robbed them of everything but because he’s so huge and famous….who you gonna believe?

Now was Jermaine’s single the way to go about expressing them? No, but nobody writes such a scathing track for something petty….you’d do it if you were beyond upset to the point where it doesn’t matter the cost as long as you inflict the same amount of pain you’ve been feeling.

Now Michael eventually forgave Jermaine for this act and following by that example I hold no grudge against Jermaine. The song is bad but the beat is good and that makes me a bad little fan for giving it a listen. But if MJ bore no grudge against Jermaine then why should I waste my energy and time on something that happened before my time and has been settled. That’s just beating a dead horse and it’s quite sad that people waste their time holding a grudge against the family over things that’s dead and buried.

Michael Jackson - Dangerous - For All Time [unreleased track]

When MJ had just pass, this song made me cry every time it came up on my iPod.

Random Thing I’ve Noticed

Ever since I got Thriller, whenever I hear Beat It’s intro…you hear seven beats before it goes into the music.

MJ always had a thing about the number 7.

Just saying.

One of my favorite songs off of the Victory Album. This should have been on a movie soundtrack back in the 80’s or became a major hit.. Jackie sounds awesome as the lead singer on this song and Michael singing at the end is pure genius/amazing!!! I am soooo in love with this song its not funny and also great song to workout/dance too, makes you feel great when you are depressed/sad etc…I just lovvve it!!!!
